Doug is both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University, he earned his CPA license as an associate in the Tax and Audit departments of Price Waterhouse. Doug went on to graduate cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he received the Pittsburgh Tax Club Memorial Prize for excellence in course work in federal taxation and the David R. Bookstaver Award for excellence in course work in wills, trusts and estates. He was also business editor of the Journal of Law and Commerce.
In addition to owning and operating his own law firm, Doug is Of Counsel to the Pittsburgh law firm Williams Coulson, a law firm specially designed to provide counsel on estate, tax, retirement and business planning matters for the closely-held business, family group, executive and professional. Doug was formerly a financial planner with a fee-based financial planning firm where he obtained his Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and an Accident and Health, Life and Fixed Annuities insurance license.
Doug is secretary/treasurer of the State College Area School District Education Foundation, president of Centre Region Estate planning Council, president of Centred Basketball, and secretary of the Penn State Hoops Club. He was a founding member of the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army of Centre County, the Board of Directors of the Centre Region Estate Planning Council, and the Board of Directors of Centred Basketball. Doug is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Centre County and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Centre County Bar Association, and the Centre Region Estate Planning Council.

Tye is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) focusing on the areas of elder law, estate planning, Medicaid planning, trust formation, and special needs planning. His practice seeks to bring a personal feel to the exceedingly complex matters of Medicaid law, trust formation, tax planning, and business succession planning. Making complex and difficult concepts understandable to clients is the heart of his practice and his success.

Bruce Irwin brings over 30 years of professional experience to Loviscky & Associates. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University, he earned his Certified Public Accountant accreditation from the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy. Before joining Loviscky & Associates in 2009, Bruce worked for a local CPA firm for 23 years, privately owned companies for 2 years, and at a State College wealth management firm for 5 years.
Bruce’s areas of specialty include tax planning and preparation and small business consulting. Furthermore, as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, he is available to offer support and advice to clients who utilize QuickBooks software.
In addition to his other professional activities, Bruce is a member of both the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Laura Millard earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia and then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Finance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Laura earned her CPA license while working as a Revenue Agent for the IRS in Pittsburgh. She has worked for a small accounting firm in Fairbanks, Alaska and for Ernst & Young in Vienna, Virginia. Laura has worked for several local firms preparing tax returns for individuals and all kinds of businesses. Over the last several years, she has increasingly focused her work and training on trust and estate taxation, and handles much of the trust tax compliance work here at Loviscky & Associates. She joined the firm in 2012.

Holly Morrison joined Loviscky & Associates in 2007 and has over 20 years of paralegal experience in estate administration, estate planning, and corporate law. She has been a Notary Public since 2002.
Holly earned her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Sanford-Brown College in Saint Charles, Missouri. In 2003, she earned a certificate for additional education on the probate process for Pennsylvania paralegals. She previously worked at another local law firm, where she dealt with estate administration, estate planning, corporate law, and bankruptcy.

Sarah Washburne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Iowa’s Northwestern College in 2006 and joined Loviscky & Cressman in April of 2010 as our Office Assistant. She utilized her work experience to earn her paralegal certificate in 2013.
Ms. Washburne has been a Notary Public since 2011. For the past ten years, she has served as the firm’s primary estate planning drafting paralegal.

In 2023, Polly joined Loviscky & Associates, bringing with her over 25 years of private and public accounting experience.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in 1982, Polly relocated to the Los Angeles area where, after 8 years, she had established herself as a valued accountant for two prominent real estate development and property management companies.
In 1990, Polly moved to State College and took a step back from accounting to commit herself to full time parenting. Returning to her accounting career in 2001, she joined a State College CPA firm where she further developed her skills and experience in small business and non-profit accounting as well as individual, business, non-profit, estate and trust tax preparation.

Cora Heenan serves as the Client Coordinator at Loviscky & Cressman, where she plays a key role in fostering strong client relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout each stage of the legal process. Since joining the firm in September 2024, Cora has been dedicated to creating a positive, informed experience for every client.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology with a Minor in Sociology from The Pennsylvania State University, where she developed a deep interest in the intersection of law, society, and justice. Cora is at the beginning of her legal career and plans to attend law school in the near future.
With a strong foundation in client care and a genuine passion for the law, Cora looks forward to building lasting connections and a meaningful career in the legal field.
